Birmingham City pay tribute to Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham after UCL triumph

Championship outfit Birmingham City have moved to pay tribute to former Blue Jude Bellingham, on the back of a special couple of days for the youngster.

Bellingham, for his part, is of course fresh off sealing first-time glory on the continent.

In the final outing of what has proven a historic debut campaign in the colours of Real Madrid, the England international was afforded a starting berth, in a Champions League final showdown with Borussia Dortmund.

And Bellingham went on to play a central role, laying on the assist for his side’s result-clinching 2nd, en route to an eventual 2-0 victory.

Messages of congratulations, in turn, have since poured in for the 20-year-old, who is quickly making a name for himself as one of football’s most recognisable faces.

And, as alluded to above, amongst such messages over the last 48 hours have been one of Bellingham’s former clubs, in Birmingham City.

The midfielder, of course, made his name at St. Andrew’s Stadium, seeing his jersey retired at the age of just 17 upon departing for Borussia Dortmund.

And the youngster, evidently, still holds a special place in the hearts of those in a position of power at his former club.

In turn, in the aftermath of Bellingham sealing his first-ever Champions League title, Birmingham were quick to take to the club’s social media platforms, to confirm that they ‘couldn’t be prouder’:
