Bernardo Silva set to clarify future with Manchester City

Bernardo Silva’s representatives are set to sit down with Manchester City during the international break to discuss the player’s future at the club, report Mundo Deportivo.

Earlier it was communicated that a similar meeting took place at the end of September, but it appears as though that the two parties have not arrived at a breakthrough just yet.

The 28-year-old expressed his desire to leave Manchester City and join Barcelona, which the club have accepted. However, they are not willing to part ways with the Portuguese midfielder for a fee less than £80m (~€90m).

Manchester City want to use the meeting to discuss when Silva is planning to move on so that they can find a replacement beforehand, possibly as soon as the January transfer window in 2023.

It is very unlikely that the player himself will be present at the meetings as he will be away on international duty with Portugal at the World Cup.
