La Liga giants Real Madrid brought a close to what represented another historic campaign this past weekend.
After long wrapping up the La Liga title, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops made it a domestic and European double, courtesy of glory in the Champions League, too.
En route to as much, a whole host of Los Blancos’ stars dazzled, from Andriy Lunin in goal to Antonio Rüdiger at the back and Toni Kroos in midfield.
The widespread consensus, though, is that Real Madrid’s two star performers this season were Jude Bellingham, and Vinícius Jr.
The former proved the standout across the opening half of the term, with wide-man Vinícius having taken over following the turn of the year.
Considered the two front-runners for the next Ballon d’Or, who, though, notched more direct goal contributions in 2023/24?
All told, there was just one in the difference between the pair.
And coming out on top was midfielder Bellingham. The Englishman for his part racked up 23 goals and 13 assists, for a total of 36.
And partner-in-crime Vini notched 24 goals and 11 assists, giving rise to a tally of 35.
Absolutely remarkable figures from a remarkable pair of young players.
