Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich responds to interest from Barcelona

Another step was made in the Joshua Kimmich transfer saga on Monday, as the player spoke to Diario AS regarding his future ahead of his side’s clash against Real Madrid.

The German midfielder said to the press that: “At the moment I’m not thinking about this. As I already said, I will speak to Bayern first. But of course, Barcelona and Real Madrid are amazing clubs with an amazing history.

He also touched upon the fact that he is one of a rare breed of player who doesn’t have any agent or other person representing him, as he prefers to represent himself.

He said, “The advantage is that you can speak for yourself, but this can also be a disadvantage. Sometimes it’s hard to talk about yourself. You are responsible for your decision. This is the most important thing for me: being at the table, listening directly to what those in charge say and being able to speak directly with the club and the coach. This helps me make a very good decision for my family and me.

Kimmich is likely to have his mind fully focused on his side’s clash against Madrid in the Champions League, however, it seems this transfer saga is still far from over.
