Bayern Munich receive injury boost before Barcelona

German heavyweights Bayern Munich have on Tuesday been afforded some timely positive news on the personnel front, ahead of their impending showdown with Barcelona.

This comes amid confirmation that Jamal Musiala has rejoined group training alongside the rest of Vincent Kompany’s squad.

Musiala, for his part, has spent the last couple of weeks on the sidelines with a hip injury.

After sitting out Bayern Munich’s most recent outing against Eintracht Frankfurt, the 21-year-old was also deemed not well enough to feature in Germany’s Nations League fixtures against Bosnia and Herzegovina, and The Netherlands.

Musiala last week managed a return to the grass, but, until today, had yet to be given the green light to rejoin his teammates in full training.

All of a Bayern persuasion, in turn, will no doubt be excited to hear that, on Tuesday, precisely as much was forthcoming.

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘Jamal Musiala took part in training with the rest of the squad before heading to the Catalan capital to face FC Barcelona on Wednesday.’

It now remains to be seen whether or not the 21-year-old is considered well enough to start at Montjuïc in 24 hours’ time.
