Bayern Munich handed timely injury boost before Barcelona clash

Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich have on Tuesday been afforded some altogether positive news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that star midfielder Jamal Musiala has returned to the grass for training.

Musiala, for his part, spent the last two weeks on the sidelines with a hip injury.

After sitting out Bayern Munich’s most recent outing against Eintracht Frankfurt, the 21-year-old was also deemed not well enough to feature in Germany’s Nations League fixtures against Bosnia and Herzegovina, and The Netherlands.

Safe to say, then, that all of a Bayern persuasion will no doubt be delighted to hear of Musiala’s recovery on Tuesday taking a significant step forward.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, citing Bild:

‘Musiala trained individually without the ball for almost 15 minutes with Bayern physio Knut Stamer and, after a relaxed warm-up, did some light running exercises.’

As much came with a view to the former Chelsea talent ramping up his recovery efforts over the days ahead.

Whilst Musiala remains a doubt to feature in Bayern’s post-international break return to action against Stuttgart this weekend, he is looking increasingly likely to be available to feature against Barcelona in the Champions League a week from tomorrow.
