Bayern Munich fans make clear their feelings for Toni Kroos during Real Madrid clash

Sizable sections of the home crowd in attendance at the showdown between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid this evening made use of the opportunity to make clear their feelings regarding Toni Kroos.

Bayern and Real are of course currently locked in action on the continent, in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final tie between the clubs.

Midfielder Kroos, meanwhile, was afforded a starting berth for the latter, in his customary berth in the middle of the park.

As much marks a return to former stomping grounds for the 34-year-old, who spent the formative years of his legendary career on the books of Bayern Munich, through to 2014.

Safe to say, however, that in the eyes of some sections of the Bavarians’ fanbase, Kroos has still not been forgiven for his departure.

This was made abundantly clear on a number of occasions on which the German international was in possession on Tuesday, as boos rained down from the stands at the Allianz Arena.

Kroos, however, was not long in getting his payback, laying on Vinícius Jr’s opener in the tie courtesy of a sumptuous defence-splitting pass.
