A fresh insight into the plans of the board at La Liga giants Barcelona when it comes to the club’s return to the Camp Nou has on Tuesday been provided.
Renovations, of course, have long been underway at Barcelona’s beloved home ground.
Amid efforts to bring the Camp Nou in line with some of football’s most modern stadiums, the Blaugrana brass green-lighted a major makeover, which will see everything from stands, facilities and fan experience upgraded.
The hope, initially, was that Hansi Flick’s squad would return to playing at their long-time home in late 2024.
The Camp Nou reopening date, however, has since been repeatedly pushed back, to the point that a return to base looks unlikely for Barcelona before the season is out.
And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, a fresh update on the situation has been forthcoming.
The info comes courtesy of Catalan outlet ESport3, who have confirmed that the current plan is for Barcelona to head back to the Camp Nou in September.
