Barcelona’s 3 goalkeeper targets if Wojciech Szczęsny leaves

The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have drawn up a three-man shortlist of goalkeeper targets ahead of the summer.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Thursday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

The brass at Barcelona are currently doing their due dilligence on the market with a view to next season.

In the case of the goalkeeper position, as much comes chiefly owing to the fact that Wojciech Szczęsny is yet to commit to extending his stay beyond the summer.

Should the Pole ultimately decide to give retirement another go, Hansi Flick’s squad will be left short-staffed between the posts.

Deco and co, in turn, have identified three players who could be targeted as a replacement for Szczęsny.

As per Sport, the trio in question come in the form of Lucas Chevalier (Lille), Bart Verbruggen (Brighton) and, most notably, Joan García of Espanyol, whom Barcelona will face off with this evening in the latest edition of the Derbi Barceloní.
