Barcelona youngster wants increase in playing time

Barcelona starlet Pablo Torre is eager for an uptick in playing time moving forward.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Jijantes, who have on Friday provided an insight into the situation.

Midfielder Torre has for his part endured something of a hit-and-miss opening to the campaign to date.

When afforded the opportunity to impress, the 21-year-old has largely done so, to the tune of three goals and an assist in La Liga.

As much, though, has come across just five appearances, as Torre struggles to beat out the fierce competition for places in Hansi Flick’s midfield ranks.

This week, the player’s entourage therefore sat down for a meeting with Barca sporting director Deco, in a bid to assess his situation.

And, during as much, the Blaugrana chief made clear to Torre’s team that, in an ideal scenario, Flick and co. would like to have him at their disposal for the remainder of the campaign.

This, however, does not entirely rule out a potential January exit for the Spaniard, who wants assurances when it comes to playing time in Barcelona’s colours.
