Barcelona youngster trains with Hansi Flick’s squad before Sevilla

A highly-regarded up-and-coming member of the youth setup at La Liga giants Barcelona was afforded a fresh call-up to first-team training on Thursday.

That’s according to journalist Sergi Capdevila of Diario Sport, who points towards Unai Hernández as the player in question.

Unai, for those not familiar with his name, is a 19-year-old midfielder, who has long been considered a potential star in the making behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Despite his tender years, the starlet has acted as captain for Barca Atlètic over the early weeks of the campaign, thoroughly impressing from his berth in the middle of the park.

And, on Thursday, not for the first time this season, Unai was rewarded for his ongoing excellence.

This comes amid confirmation that the midfielder played full part in group training with Hansi Flick’s senior squad on Thursday morning.

It now remains to be seen whether as much translates to a matchday call-up to face Sevilla this weekend.
