La Liga giants Barcelona have this week been afforded a boost on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that young goalkeeper Áron Yaakobishvili has made the call to commit to fresh terms with the club.
Shot-stopper Yaakobishvili’s future has long proven a source of contention in Catalunya’s capital.
This comes after it was widely reported that the 18-year-old was set to be on the move in the summer.
Yaakobishvili has long been held in high regard by those behind the scenes at Barcelona, considered a potential future first-team player.
Their inability to find common ground on the extension of the Hungarian’s contract therefore came as a heavy blow for the Blaugrana.
As alluded to above, though, this week, a sudden turnaround in the situation has been noted.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘An agreement has already been reached with the Hungarian Áron Yaakobishvili (18 years old) on terms that have not yet been made public.’
