The next international break is right around the corner and Spain are expected to call up Pedri, which is the source of concern for Barcelona.
As reported by AS, Barça feel that Pedri should be allowed to recover after just returning from injury. Pedri has been sidelined for two months and only just returned against Real Sociedad at the weekend.
Therefore a potential call-up from Spain is worrisome for Barça. They are treating him as carefully as possible with a view to keeping him fit for the rest of the season and not rushing him back.
Luis de la Fuente, on the other hand, will only think about his own interest which is the two upcoming games against Cyprus and Georgia. They are not the toughest of games and Barça feel that Pedri should be afforded some rest and not called to the national team.
Whether or not the young midfielder will return for international duty remains to be seen.
