Sections of the backroom staff at La Liga giants Barcelona are growing increasingly concerned when it comes to the registration of midfielder Dani Olmo for the 2nd half of the campaign.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Thursday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
Barcelona, for their part, have repeatedly insisted in public spaces that Olmo, signed from RB Leipzig during the summer, will be registered to Hansi Flick’s squad beyond the turn of the year without any problems.
As things stand, the 26-year-old is only eligible to line out for the Blaugrana until December 31st.
According to Sport, however, the financial forecasts at the Camp Nou ‘are far from reality’.
Joan Laporta and co. were hopeful of both their long-term talks with Nike, and efforts to sort the €60 million Libero ‘mess’, being resolved by now.
To date, though, neither such endeavour has borne fruit.
And as much, it is understood, is leaving Barcelona’s technical secretariat more ‘worried’ day by day.
Promises were made to both the aforementioned Olmo and sidelined defender Andreas Christensen that they would be registered for the 2nd half of the season.
As things stand, though, ‘one of the two could be registered, but not both’.
