Barcelona trio not called up for Atlético Madrid clash

Three members of Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad were not afforded call-ups for the club’s upcoming meeting with Atlético Madrid.

As much was confirmed upon the Blaugrana’s stars arriving for their pre-match preparations on Tuesday afternoon.

Barca are of course primed to return later this evening, when they welcome Diego Simeone’s Atlético to Catalunya’s capital for a Copa del Rey clash.

Ahead of a return leg trip to the Wanda Metropolitano early in April, Flick and co. will head into proceedings on Tuesday no doubt eager to secure an advantage.

As alluded to above, though, in efforts towards as much, three members of Barcelona’s squad will play no part.

As confirmed by journalist Ángel Pérez, the trio of Ansu Fati, Andreas Christensen and Pablo Torre were nowhere to be seen upon Hansi Flick’s troops convening at the team hotel ahead of tonight’s fixture.

Lamine Yamal, on the other hand, appeared to be in good health, amid ongoing concern surrounding the 17-year-old’s status to face Atlético.
