Barcelona transfer target Alessandro Bastoni has kept a close eye on the Blaugrana’s progress across the campaign to date.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Monday provided an insight into the situation.
The name of Italian international Bastoni has of course long emerged as a prominent one in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital.
This comes amid the widespread understanding that the Barcelona brass have earmarked the 27-year-old as their priority defensive target for next season.
Bastoni is considered the ideal long-term partner for Pau Cubarsí in Hansi Flick’s squad.
And if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then interest in a joining of forces between the parties appears to be very much mutual.
As per a report from MD, in the case of leaving San Siro this summer, Bastoni has made it clear that Barcelona are his first and only option.
Not only that, but it is noted:
‘He loves the Catalan club, he follows Flick’s project closely—he never misses a game—and he really likes the Catalan capital.’
