Barcelona training confirms some much-needed positive injury news

The latest word stemming from the training ground of La Liga giants Barcelona will no doubt be met with a collective sigh of relief on the part of all associated with the club.

This comes with the injury-plagued Blaugrana having at last been afforded some positive news on the personnel front.

The last couple of weeks have of course seen Barca’s injury woes begin to mount, with the likes of Pedri, Ronald Araújo and Pablo Torre having been forced into respective spells on the sidelines.

Safe to say, then, that new head coach Hansi Flick was no doubt reaching the point of desperation in hopes of some encouraging news from the club’s treatment room.

And, as alluded to above, on Thursday, precisely that was forthcoming.

As per a report from Diario Sport, there was a new face amongst the group at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper earlier today.

The player in question? Julián Araujo.

Defender Araujo has spent pre-season to date working on his recovery from injury, training separately from the rest of Barcelona’s squad after picking up a fitness problem late last season whilst on loan with Las Palmas.

Today, though, the Mexican was back in the thick of things, no doubt eager to prove his talents to boss Flick in efforts to carve out a place for himself at the Camp Nou for the campaign ahead.
