Barcelona training confirms injury boost in Hansi Flick’s squad

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Monday been afforded a welcome boost on the personnel front.

This comes in the form of confirmation that a sidelined member of the club’s first-team ranks has marked his return to full training.

The player in question? Ansu Fati.

Wide-man Ansu was of course dealt his latest fitness setback earlier this summer.

As much came upon the 21-year-old limping out of training at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, with an unspecified foot problem.

Following a round of medical tests, it was revealed that Ansu was dealing with a bout of plantar fasciitis.

He has remained on the sidelines ever since, no doubt chomping at the bit to get back on the pitch, to play his part in what has been a stellar start to the campaign on the part of his teammates.

And, as alluded to above, on Monday, Ansu took a major step towards precisely that.

As confirmed across Barcelona’s official social media channels, the Spanish international has returned to the grass for training, with a view to taking his place in the matchday setup for the Blaugrana’s post-international break return to action against Girona on September 15th.
