A head-turning exchange deal between Barcelona and Manchester United has today been rumoured in the media.
The info comes courtesy of Mundo Deportivo, who, citing HITC, point towards the touted deal centering on Vitor Roque, and Mason Greenwood.
The subject of frontman Roque’s future has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last week.
As much comes after the admission on the part of the Brazilian’s agent that he could soon seek out an exit was followed by a wave of speculation surrounding a potential landing spot.
And one such possible destination, it would appear, comes in the form of the aforementioned Manchester United.
As per MD, the Red Devils expressed a keen interest in Roque’s services, prior to his move to Spain earlier this year.
And the Barcelona brass could in turn move to take advantage of as much, to land a long-time target of their own.
The Blaugrana have had their interests firmly piqued by the exploits of United loanee Mason Greenwood, across his stint in La Liga with Getafe this season.
Underwhelmed by the efforts of the big-money Roque to date, on the other hand, Deco and co. could propose a swap deal-of-sorts.
The board at Old Trafford are viewed as likely to be open to such a prospect, albeit keen for the two transfers to be dealt with separately.
