Barcelona take note: Inter Milan lose again ahead of UCL showdown

The alarming dip in form being endured by Barcelona’s upcoming Champions League opponents Inter Milan continued on Sunday.

This came by way of another defeat for Simone Inzaghi’s side.

Inter are currently in the thick of preparations for a potentially season-defining upcoming tie on the continent.

After battling beyond Bayern Munich in the competition’s quarter-finals, the Nerazzurri have been pitted against the aforementioned Barcelona in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Safe to say, however, that ahead of Wednesday’s first leg in Spain, things could not be going much worse for the Italian champions.

Inter returned to action this afternoon, in a Serie A meeting with AS Roma.

Inzaghi’s men headed into the matchup nothing short of desperate for victory, fresh off successive defeats at the hands of Bologna, and arch rivals AC Milan.

When all was said and done, however, Inter’s woes only continued to mount.

After failing to find the net for the third game running, they were condemned to the wrong side of a 1-0 result.

With Barcelona riding high on the back of a Copa del Rey finale triumph over Real Madrid, it is in turn safe to say that the momentum is firmly with the Blaugrana in the buildup to Wednesday’s continental clash.
