Barcelona summer signing names Blaugrana youngster as his ‘role model’

A member of the summer recruitment list at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Wednesday pointed towards Alejandro Balde as his rode model.

The player in question? David Oduro.

The name of defender Oduro, of course, took its place centre stage in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital in the days leading up to the transfer deadline.

This came after word was forthcoming that the explosive young left-back had made his way firmly onto the wishlist of the aforementioned Barcelona.

After a quickfire round of negotiations with Accra Lions, the Ghanaian, in turn, went on to put pen to paper on terms with the Blaugrana, linking up with Albert Sánchez’s Barca Atlètic.

This week, Oduro, in turn, sat down for an interview with SportyTV, to discuss his arrival at one of world football’s most recognisable clubs.

And one response provided by the 18-year-old has since turned heads across the Barcelona fanbase.

This comes after Oduro was asked to his name his player role model.

“My role model is Alejandro Balde. I want to learn many things from him,” the defender concluded.
