Barcelona submit new bid for Raphinha

Barcelona contacted Leeds United last night to submit a new bid for Raphinha, according to Fabrizio Romano.

As things stand, Barça’s offer does not match Leeds’ asking price for the 25-year-old.

Chelsea have reached an agreement with Leeds for the winger but have yet to agree personal terms with the player whose agent, Deco, was in Barcelona yesterday for talks with the Catalan club.

The Brazil international is waiting to see if Barcelona can proceed before making a final decision on his future, according to journalist Nizaar Kinsella.

Raphinha’s preferred option is a move to Camp Nou. Chelsea are ready to pay in the region of £60m including add-ons for him and it remains to be seen if Barça can beat the Premier League club to the player’s signature.

Chelsea, operating with new owner Todd Boehly as interim sporting director after they confirmed the departure of Marina Granovskaia, have reportedly offered an attractive deal.
