Barcelona submit bid for Raphinha

Barcelona have submitted a bid to Leeds United for Raphinha, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

Leeds are ready to accept a €58m fixed fee, with €10m in add-ons for the winger.

The 25-year-old has always preferred to join Barcelona despite interest from Premier League clubs Chelsea and Arsenal.

Chelsea had reached an agreement with Leeds for the player but hadn’t agreed personal terms with the Brazilian.

The player’s agent, Deco, also an advisor to the Catalan club, has been in lengthy talks with Barça to get the deal over the line.

With Ousmane Dembélé edging closer to officially signing a new 2-year deal, Xavi Hernández will have two exciting wingers at his disposal for the 2022-23 campaign.

Since joining Leeds from French club Rennes in 2020, Raphinha scored 17 Premier League goals in 65 games.

Barça have already announced the signings of Franck Kessié and Andreas Christensen this summer.
