Barcelona star’s pubalgia injury confirmed

An update on the wellbeing of Barcelona star Eric García has on Monday come to the fore online.

Eric, for his part, has been sidelined since last month, after being forced into a last-minute departure from the pre-match warm-up for Barcelona’s meeting with Sevilla.

The former Manchester City man has since missed Barca’s last four outings, against Sevilla, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and city rivals Espanyol.

Speaking to the media last week, Hansi Flick confirmed that Eric will not return to the pitch this side of the international break.

Further details regarding the exact nature of the 23-year-old’s injury, though, were not provided.

Those of a Blaugrana persuasion, in turn, will no doubt be interested to hear of as much this evening surfacing online.

As per a report from Catalunya Ràdio, Eric is dealing without a bout of pubalgia, described as a chronic groin lesion which often affects athletes.

The versatile defender, as a result, ‘must rest until the discomfort disappears’.
