Barcelona starlet Lamine Yamal bags La Liga award

Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal has today secured for himself a prestigious individual award.

As much comes amid confirmation that the Spanish international’s recent strike against Mallorca has proven enough to earn Goal of the Month honours in La Liga.

The goal in question came on March 8th, proving the decisive action in a hard-fought affair in Catalunya’s capital.

After dancing his way into the Mallorca penalty area, Lamine cut back onto his trusty left foot, before bending a sumptuous effort into the far top corner.

The finish saw Barca’s breakthrough talent draw immediate comparisons with Blaugrana icon Lionel Messi, further cementing his status as one of, if not the standout young talent in all of Europe.

And, as alluded to above, on Tuesday, such efforts on Lamine’s part have been aptly recognised.

As per an official statement across La Liga’s social media platforms, the 16-year-old has beaten out the competition, to secure the accolade for March Goal of the Month in Spain’s top-flight:
