Barcelona star Gavi is being lined up for his first start of the campaign to date in the club’s meeting with Celta Vigo.
That’s according to Barca insider Toni Juanmarti of Diario Sport, who has on Friday provided an insight into the latest ongoings behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
Gavi, for his part, has of course spent recent weeks ramping up his fitness levels.
After a spell of 11 months on the sidelines with an ACL injury, the midfielder marked his return to competitive action early in October.
Since, boss Hansi Flick has handled the situation with the utmost caution, making use of Gavi only off the bench in short doses.
As alluded to above, though, on Saturday, the moment which all of a Blaugrana persuasion having been so eagerly awaiting will finally be forthcoming.
As per a report from Sport:
‘This Saturday, 369 days after his painful injury, the Barça player will fully recover his smile: the idea is that Gavi will start against Celta.’
