Barcelona star suffers injury scare vs Young Boys

A leading member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has tonight set alarm bells sounding across the club’s fanbase.

This comes owing to developments late in the Blaugrana’s latest outing.

Barcelona of course marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Swiss outfit Young Boys to Catalunya’s capital, for a Champions League clash.

And, when all was said and done, Hansi Flick’s troops secured a return to winning ways, courtesy of a 5-0 romp.

Late in the action at Montjuïc, however, one source of concern was also forthcoming for Barca…

As much came on the personnel front, after defender Iñigo Martínez – fresh off bagging a goal and an assist – made his way from the field of play.

Replaced by youngster Andreas Cuenca, Iñigo was subsequently spotted on the bench clutching at his lower back and thigh, whilst in discussion with the hosts’ medical team.

It now remains to be seen whether as much came owing to any sort of injury setback.
