Barcelona star Jules Koundé has on Tuesday secured for himself a special piece of club history.
This comes owing to his exploits in the Blaugrana’s Champions League meeting with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Hansi Flick’s troops are of course currently locked in action on the continent, eyeing a much-needed three point-haul at the expense of Bundesliga outfit Eintracht.
And as things stand, this is precisely what Barca find themselves headed towards.
After falling into a first-half deficit, the evening’s hosts had a surprise hero to thank for turning the scoreline on its head.
This came as the aforementioned Jules Koundé notched a brace, to guide Barcelona into a 2-1 lead.
Both of the Frenchman’s goals came courtesy of headers, first from a Marcus Rashford delivery, and then Lamine Yamal.
And as alluded to above, as much has since culminated in Koundé grabbing a place for himself in the history books.
As per statistician MisterChip on X:
‘Jules Koundé is the first Barcelona player with two headed goals in the same match in the entire history of the Champions League.’
