Barcelona star Pedri has this weekend moved to play down any and all fears surrounding a potential future exit from the Camp Nou.
This comes amid confirmation that talks over a new contract are progressing in a positive manner.
Negotiations have long been in full swing between the Barcelona brass, and Pedri’s entourage.
As much comes owing to ongoing efforts on the part of the former to tie the club’s engine room gem down for the long-term.
Pedri’s current Blaugrana terms are due to expire in the summer of 2026.
With the Spanish international having looked back to his brilliant best under the watch of Hansi Flick this season, his renewal has in turn been labelled as something of a priority behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
And, if the latest comments on the part of Pedri himself are anything to go by, then positive news should be expected at some point over the months ahead:
“My agents and Barcelona tell me that new contract talks are going well, all is proceeding. The fans can stay calm and relax.”
