Barcelona star scores first penalty of his career during Spain vs France

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has on Thursday evening secured another individual benchmark in his sparkling young career.

This comes by way of his first converted penalty at senior level.

Lamine, as expected, was afforded a starting berth tonight, as Spain locked horns with France in a Nations League semi-final showdown.

And the 17-year-old has since played a starring role, amid something of a La Roja rout.

With Luis de la Fuente’s troops already leading by two goals to nil, Lamine was responsible for winning a penalty, after being scythed down by Adrien Rabiot.

And the Barcelona prodigy, after dusting himself down, went on to take responsibility of the spot-kick himself.

The first of his fledgling career, Lamine looked predictably unphased, sending Mike Maignan the wrong way to find the bottom corner of the France net.

The prodigious winger has since gone on to double his tally for the evening, too, courtesy of another fine finish from inside the French penalty area.
