Barcelona star returns to training before Sevilla clash

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Monday been afforded some altogether positive news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that midfielder Fermín López is back in training alongside the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad.

Fermín, for his part, has been sidelined since early last month.

This came after the 21-year-old was carried out of training on a stretcher, with what was later revealed to be a problem in his thigh.

Fermín has spent the weeks since undergoing treatment, with a view to returning to matchday duties in Barcelona’s post-international break comeback, against Sevilla.

And, if the latest word stemming from Catalunya’s capital on Monday is anything to go by, then the Spanish international appears on track for precisely that.

As confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, citing Barcelona themselves:

‘Fermín López has recovered from his injury and he’s back in team training.’

The medical green light for sidelined teammate Dani Olmo is also considered as ‘imminent’.
