Barcelona star Lamine Yamal on Friday named his ideal 7-aside team, with the inclusion of one player in particular having since turned heads.
Wide-man Lamine is for his part fresh off another fine individual display last night, which saw the 17-year-old make it three goals in two en route to Barcelona’s Champions League defeat at the hands of AS Monaco.
24 hours on, the Spanish international was back in media mode, though, pulled in for an interview during an appearance at The Kings League.
During as much, as alluded to above, Lamine was asked to name his perfect 7-aside team.
And the youngster went on to name he, alongside five of his Barca teammates, as well as a close friend, in his team.
At the back, Lamine opted for a pairing of Pau Cubarsí and Ronald Araújo. In front of them in midfield, it was Gavi and Pedri, whilst the attack consisted of the winger himself, alongside Athletic Club standout Nico Williams.
It was Lamine’s choice between the posts, though, which proved the most surprising, with the Euro 2024 winner having named Blaugrana no.2 Iñaki Peña as his ideal shot-stopper.
