Barcelona star Eric García on Monday highlighted teammate Fermín López as a player whom he deems to be underrated in the game at present.
Youngster Fermín is of course now considered an integral member of the first-team setup at Barcelona, when it comes to present and future alike.
The 21-year-old is fresh off a breakout campaign in 2023/24, which saw him rack up a head-turning 11 goals across all competitions.
As much was followed by a thoroughly productive summer, too, Fermín having followed up on Spain’s triumph at Euro 2024 by proving himself the country’s star performer en route to Olympic gold.
And yet, in the eyes of the aforementioned Eric García, his young teammate’s talents are yet to be fully recognised across the world of football.
Speaking during an exchange with the media at Barcelona’s training ground on Tuesday, Eric was asked to name a player whom he feels is ‘underrated’.
And the former Manchester City man did not hesitate in responding:
