Barcelona star Alejandro Balde was a notable absentee from first-team training on Sunday.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
Barcelona of course marked their return to action late last night.
The Blaugrana were ultimately held to a disappointing 2-2 stalemate by Celta Vigo, with the aforementioned Balde, for his part, having played no part.
Instead, Gerard Martín slotted in at left-back, with Balde not risked by boss Hansi Flick owing to a niggling hamstring issue.
And, 24 hours on, the latter, evidently, is yet to recover.
As per MD:
‘Alejandro Balde did not train this Sunday after being ruled out in Balaídos against Celta (2-2) on Saturday due to hamstring discomfort.’
The Spanish international is as a result considered a serious doubt to play his part on Tuesday night, when Barcelona turn attentions back towards matters on the continent in a Champions League meeting with Ligue 1 outfit Stade Brestois.
A further update on Balde’s wellbeing is expected on Monday.
