La Liga champions Barcelona have on Saturday been dealt a potential setback on the personnel front. This comes after Andreas Christensen was forced into an early departure from the club’s latest outing.
Barcelona are of course currently locked in action on the domestic front, in a La Liga meeting with Sevilla.
After falling into an early deficit in Andalusia, the Blaugrana have since turned things around, thanking a brace from captain and top scorer Raphinha for a 2-1 advantage.
As alluded to above, though, amid an otherwise positive evening’s work to date, Hansi Flick and co. have also been forced to sweat over developments on the injury front.
Andreas Christensen was afforded his latest starting berth at The Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, at the heart of the visitors’ defence. Just shy of the hour mark, however, the Dane pulled up with what appeared to be a knee concern.
From here, he limped straight to the bench, before having ice strapped to the problem area.
An update on Christensen’s wellbeing is expected post-match.
