Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has revealed his pick for the favourites to go all the way in this season’s edition of the Champions League.
The youngster’s choice? Liverpool.
Liverpool and Barcelona of course took the top two spots in the newly-formatted league phase of this season’s Champions League.
The former came out on top by two points, after emerging triumphant from all but one of their eight fixtures in the competition.
And for this reason, the aforementioned Lamine is of the opinion that the Premier League leaders should be considered the frontrunners to lift the trophy come the close of the campaign.
Drawn on his Champions League favourites during an interview with Mundo Deportivo (as cited by Fabrizio Romano) this week, Barcelona’s attacking prodigy explained:
“I think that only Liverpool are more favorites than us in Champions League… as they finished first. We can compete to win it. We can be there.”
