La Liga giants Barcelona are ready to part with an out-of-favour member of the club’s defensive ranks.
That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Eric García as the player in question.
Eric has for his part found game-time altogether difficult to come by in Catalunya’s capital over the course of recent weeks.
Despite having fully recovered from a niggling groin injury, the former Manchester City man has been afforded just eight minutes on the pitch since early-October.
As much comes amid an intense battle for places in both Barcelona’s backline, and at the base of Hansi Flick’s midfield.
With Jonathan Tah’s signing being lined up for next season, too, Eric is therefore considered as increasingly surplus to requirements by those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou.
So much so that, as per a report from Relevo:
‘He is now a transferable player.’
Any such move will not be sanctioned in January, but rather in the summer of 2025.
