A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has been included in the latest Champions League Team of the Week. This of course comes with the 19-year-old fresh off another starring performance on the continent on Tuesday night.
Barcelona kicked their Champions League campaign back into gear earlier this week, making the trip to Istanbul for a showdown with Turkish champions Galatasaray.
The aforementioned Lamine featured from the off in the matchup, from his customary berth on the right flank.
And en route to an eventual 4-1 triumph for the visitors, the Spanish international played a leading role. With the sides deadlocked at a goal apiece early in the 2nd-half, Lamine took full creative responsibility on his young shoulders, laying on a pair of wonderful assists to send Barcelona on their way to all three points.
And as alluded to above, on Thursday, this excellence has been aptly recognised by UEFA.
As per a release across the Champions League’s official social media platforms, Barca’s prodigious winger has been included in the competition’s Team of the Week:
Conor Laird – GSFN
