Barcelona star hits the 50 G/A mark for the season

A headline member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has this week taken his tally for the campaign to a remarkable 50 combined goals and assists across all competitions.

The player in question? Raphinha.

Wide-man Raphinha was for his part back in action on the international front in the early hours of Friday.

This came by way of a starting berth in Brazil’s World Cup qualifying showdown with Colombia.

And, en route to an eventual 2-1 triumph for he and his teammates, the former Leeds United man played a leading role once more.

Raphinha was responsible for opening the scoring in the clash, before also notching the assist for Real Madrid counterpart Vinícius Jr’s last-gasp winner.

And as alluded to above, in the process, the 27-year-old secured for himself an altogether impressive individual benchmark.

Between fixtures for club and country across the term to date, Raphinha has now racked up a combined 50 goals and assists.
