German icon Mats Hummels has taken to social media late on Saturday evening, to lavish praise on Barcelona star Iñaki Peña.
This comes owing to a save conjured up by the shot-stopper during Barcelona’s La Liga showdown with Real Madrid.
Spanish football’s two biggest clubs are of course currently locked in action, in the latest edition of El Clásico.
As things stand late in the first-half, the two sides remain deadlocked, amid what has proven a tense, but quality-filled affair.
The lack of goals, though, has certainly not come owing to a lack of trying…
Kylian Mbappé, for one, has seen what would have been a brilliant goal disallowed for offside, after starting his run just a touch too early.
Also close to finding the net only for the offside flag to be raised, meanwhile, was Jude Bellingham.
After the ball was squared across the face of goal by Mbappé, England international Bellingham looked certain to slide home into the Barcelona net.
With the fourth official’s flag yet to come into play, however, the 21-year-old’s effort was kept out in nothing short of miraculous fashion by the diving Iñaki Peña.
In fact, so impressive was the stop that, watching on from home, German football icon and AS Roma star Mats Hummels took to his official ‘X’ account, to write:
‘That was one of the best saves I have ever seen’
