A returning member of the first-team squad was afforded a guard of honour by his teammates in training on Thursday.
The player in question? Gavi.
The name of youngster Gavi has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the day to date.
This comes after confirmation was forthcoming that the 20-year-old had linked back up with the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad in group training.
This marked the first occasion on which Gavi received the green light for as much since all the way back in late-2023, after suffering an ACL tear whilst on international duty with Spain.
And, as alluded to above, Flick’s ranks were sure to commemorate the occasion with a special moment for their returning teammate.
Gavi was afforded a ‘guard of honour’ at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, looking full of smiles as he was playfully slapped and pushed by Barca’s stars:
