Barcelona star Ronald Araújo has on Sunday evening provided an insight into his latest goal celebration.
Defender Araújo, for his part, is fresh off an altogether productive day’s work.
Afforded a starting berth in Barcelona’s La Liga meeting with Real Sociedad, the Uruguayan international chipped in with both a goal and an assist.
Hansi Flick’s troops ultimately ran out 4-0 victors.
After putting his side three goals to the good on the evening, the aforementioned Araújo turned heads courtesy of a new-look celebration.
Some suggested that as much looked almost like a ‘TikTok’ dance, with the subject of the meaning behind his gestures having therefore been put to the 25-year-old post-match.
Araújo, though, went on to reveal that his message was in fact a religious one, explaining:
“I’m a Christian. I believe in God. That celebration was a message for him.”
Owing to their latest three-point haul, Barcelona have reclaimed sole leadership of the La Liga table, leading Atlético Madrid by a solitary point once more.
