Barcelona star Pedri has been omitted from the Spanish national team’s line-up to face Belgium on Friday evening. This comes after more than one questionable recent performance on the part of the 23-year-old.
Spain are of course primed to return to action in short order.
Eyeing a place in the semi-finals of this summer’s World Cup, La Roja have made the trip to Los Angeles, for a showdown with the aforementioned Belgium.
Luis de la Fuente unveiled his line-up for the evening a short time ago, with the bulk of the XI having remained as expected. The likes of Marc Cucurella, Rodri and Lamine Yamal are again front and centre.
As alluded to above, though, one major change was also forthcoming, in the middle of the park.
Barcelona star Pedri, generally considered one of the first names on the team sheet for his country, has been forced to make do with a place on the bench.
Paris Saint-Germain’s Fabián Ruiz replaces the Blaugrana man, joining Rodri and Dani Olmo in De la Fuente’s midfield.
