A leading member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona was dropped from the club’s latest line-up as punishment for being late.
That’s according to Barca insider Gerard Romero of Jijantes, who has provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
The Blaugrana, of course, are currently locked in action.
In the final fixture of the gameweek in Spain’s top-flight, Hansi Flick’s troops have welcomed Rayo Vallecano to Montjuïc.
As is customary, an hour prior to kick-off, Barcelona’s XI for the evening was in turn unveiled online.
And it featured one altogether noteworthy change.
This came at right-back, where youngster Héctor Fort was afforded a rare start in place of one of the first names on the Blaugrana team sheet this season – Jules Koundé.
And an insight into precisely why, as alluded to above, has since been forthcoming online.
As per a report from Gerard Romero, Koundé was late for manager Hansi Flick’s latest team talk, with the German’s harsh stance on tardiness having in turn resulted in the Frenchman being dropped.
