Barcelona star admits ‘I’m competing with the best in the world’ for game-time

Barcelona star Pau Víctor has this week moved to reveal his appreciation for the talents of teammate Robert Lewandowski.

This comes after Víctor was afforded a rare opportunity to impress ahead of Lewandowski on Wednesday night.

Hansi Flick’s troops are of course fresh off a dominant return to winning ways.

After making the trip to Son Moix for a La Liga clash, Barcelona ran riot, on their way to an eventual 5-1 downing of RCD Mallorca.

The aforementioned Víctor, for his part, was amongst the goals, introduced off the bench during the 2nd-half to round out the scoring for the Blaugrana.

The frontman has found game-time somewhat difficult to come by over the early months of the campaign, owing chiefly to the presence of the aforementioned Robert Lewandowski ahead of him in the pecking order in Hansi Flick’s squad.

Evidently, though, no hard feelings exist on Víctor’s part.

Drawn on his battle for minutes during a post-match interview on Tuesday evening, the 23-year-old assured:

“When you’re competing with the best striker in the world, it’s hard to get minutes. I try to learn a lot from Lewandowski every day.”
