A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Thursday evening confirmed the arrival of Dani Olmo at the club.
The name of attacking midfielder Olmo has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last 48 hours.
This comes after confirmation was forthcoming that the powers that be at the Camp Nou had finally wrapped up a definitive agreement with their counterparts at RB Leipzig, over the signing of the 26-year-old.
An official announcement regarding the transfer is not expected to arrive until Friday at the earliest, with Olmo set to be unveiled early next week.
As alluded to above, though, on Thursday evening, a current member of Hansi Flick’s squad has nevertheless made his new teammate’s arrival public.
As part of a fan Q&A for The Residncy, Pedri was asked about Olmo’s ‘potential’ Barcelona return.
And the 21-year-old went on to respond:
“I like that Olmo has come to Barcelona, because we get along well and he will certainly contribute a lot. He showed that in the Euros.”
