Barcelona search for replacement for head coach Ronald Koeman

According to journalist Joan Vehils, as soon as Barcelona have a clear replacement for Ronald Koeman, they will sack the Dutch manager.

The decision has reportedly been made by the Catalan club to hire a new head coach. According to Catalan-based journalist Gerard Romero, Xavi Hernández, Andrea Pirlo, Joachim Löw, Antonio Conte and Phillip Cocu are all on president Joan Laporta’s list of potential candidates to replace Koeman at Barcelona.

Last week, AS reported that several members of the Barcelona board want to sack Koeman, who remains under fire after a difficult start to the new campaign.

The Dutch coach has come in for even more criticism after Barça’s 1-1 draw at home to Granada on Monday night. The Camp Nou outfit currently sit in 7th place in the La Liga table, with 8 points from a possible 12.

Goal report that the club are also interested in Belgium boss Roberto Martínez.
