Barcelona set to not risk Lamine Yamal against Celta Vigo this weekend

The international break came at a pretty good time for Barcelona injury-wise. It has given the club plenty of time to allow players with fatigue and injury to rest up and get ready for a busy winter period.

Yet despite the break, Marca are reporting that Lamine Yamal looks set to not make it back to the squad in time following the ankle sprain he suffered in the Champions League against Red Star, he will likely return next week against Brest in the same competition.

On the brighter side, Robert Lewandowski looks set to start after his recent back injury kept him out of Poland’s Nations League matches.

This leaves the Blaugrana with Lewandowski, Raphinha and Pau Victor available in attack for this weekend’s fixture in Galicia.

Meanwhile, defender Eric García is still out of action, having been injured since the beginning of January, but is getting close to a return.

The same can be said for Ferran Torres, who is another name that is more likely to feature midweek in the Champions League against Brest.
