La Liga champions Barcelona are readying the club’s coffers for a fresh and altogether welcome boost heading into the final days of the summer transfer window.
This comes as details of the financial figures of the Blaugrana’s imminent sales of youngsters Álvaro Cortés and Toni Fernández come to light online.
Across the week to date, Deco and the Camp Nou brass have given the green light to the permanent exits of both up-and-coming defender Cortés, and attacking starlet Toni.
The two Spaniards are primed to link up with Royal Antwerp and Venezia respectively, amid an ongoing push on the part of Barcelona to raise funds for players deemed not yet ready for regular first-team football in Catalunya’s capital.
And as alluded to above, this weekend, an insight into the figures involved in Cortés and Toni’s sales have come to the fore in the Spanish media. The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, who report:
‘In the coming days, the departures of Álvaro Cortés and Toni Fernández to Antwerp and Venezia, respectively, will bring around eight million euros to the Barça coffers.’
