As much, of course, comes fresh off the latter securing yet more glory for themselves on the continent.
Real Madrid marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to Wembley for a Champions League final showdown with Borussia Dortmund.
When all was said and done, Los Blancos emerged on the right side of a 2-0 result, owing to goals on the part of Dani Carvajal, and Vinícius Jr.
Carlo Ancelotti’s troops, as a result, can claim the title of champions of Europe once more, for what is the 15th time in the club’s storied history.
Messages of congratulations have since poured in for the capital giants from across the continent, on the part of fans, pundits, players and the media alike.
And, as alluded to above, a short time ago, adding themselves to this list were none other than Real Madrid’s arch rivals.
In a post across the club’s social media platforms, Barcelona unveiled the following simple message late on Saturday night:
